Friendly staff and great amenities!
I recently stayed for one night and was truly impressed by the knowledgeable and welcoming staff. The pool area was well-maintained and a perfect spot for relaxation, making it a highlight of my stay. The room was clean and comfortable, which added to the overall positive experience, though I'd suggest an upgrade on some of the decor to give it a fresher look.

missingWrote a review on Oct 30well-maintained poolconvenient diningcleanliness issues
The indoor pool area appeared well-maintained and inviting, perfect for a post-adventure dip. Convenient access to nearby dining options made it easy to grab a bite without much hassle.
The room cleanliness posed some issues, with dusty corners and an odd mix of smells lingering in the air. The towels felt thin and lacked proper absorbency, which can be a letdown after a shower. Breakfast selections were meager, and the coffee brewed left much to be desired, making mornings less enjoyable than they could have been. Plus, the absence of elevators made lugging bags around a bit cumbersome, especially for second-floor rooms.

missingWrote a review on Oct 11warm poolgreat birdwatchingoverwhelmed front desk clerk
We spent the day canoeing at Ledges State Park and birdwatching at Ada Hayden Heritage Park. The pool was warm and well-maintained, perfect for relaxing after our adventures. Plus, the front desk staff were super accommodating. Highly recommend catching a Cyclones football game at Jack Trice Stadium if you're in town. Breakfast could improve though, it wasn’t very fresh by morning.
We had an issue at check-in, as the front desk clerk seemed overwhelmed and not very helpful. It took a long time to get our room sorted out, which was frustrating after a long day of travel.

Oh man, I hit the jackpot at this joint! The breakfast spread was a full-on feast, complete with fluffy scrambled eggs and crispy sausage—made those early mornings golden! Plus, the indoor pool was a fun hangout. If you're into local vibes, it's a hop away from cool spots to grab a slice or that classic Iowa corn chowder. Can't forget the delightful family atmosphere, it felt like home!
The Sunday breakfast lady was a hard pill to swallow—she had a major case of the grumps and shut things down right on the dot. I mean, come on, give the dude a chance for juice for his kid!
